OUR STORY

Vegan Bloom has had over 10 years of experience in vegan food service and advocacy. We began in 2002 in Brooklyn, New York with Think Bookstore Café. Open for two years, Think was a community hub, where we served an ever growing vegan population. Our clientele attracted ,Vegan Chef and author of 4 top selling cook books, Isa Chandra. She began in Think’s kitchen and grew from there to become a major voice in Vegan food preparation.

Between 2004 and 2008 we aggressively advocated for the vegan lifestyle, as well as catered and baked for an expansive population in Chicago, Kansas City, and Brooklyn. In 2008 Café Seed was opened and enjoyed great success in Kansas City, MO. Our small café was featured in 7 different Kansas City publications and broadcast including The Kansas City Star, Check Please, and The Pitch Weekly. In 2010 Café Seed was sold as we prepared to relocate to Chicago. Since 2010 under our new name Vegan Bloom, we have catered, advocated, and sold baked goods wholesale to numerous venues throughout the city and suburbs.
